Gender news: discourse analysis and representation in the ACD
ANÁLISE DE DISCURSO ALHEIO E A REPRESENTAÇÃO NA ACD
Abstract
Abstract: In the journalistic sphere, news is one of the journalistic genres best known by readers. Having access to information is part of the subjects' daily situations to update themselves on what happens around them and to understand the message passed through the communication medium, which it is part of, however many communication media, whether printed, digital, or auditory, as for example, the podcast, disclaim responsibility for the published content. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to analyze the speeches of others in the concrete statements constructed in the news, because it is a journalistic genre whose purpose is to inform the subject of the most relevant facts of daily life, and the concept of representation in the news genre in the newspaper O State of S. Paulo comprising the ideological position transmitted even if in a veiled way in this discursive genre. Our theoretical and methodological basis is the Bakthinian assumptions of others' discourse, concrete statement, the concept of representation and practices worked by Critical Discourse Analysis, henceforth ACD, based on the proposal of the English linguist, Fairclough (2003) and the contributions of the news features for Discourse Analysis of French line and journalistic communication.
